London, United Kingdom- Zenobē Energy Limited., a fleet electrification, has expanded its U.S. electric truck operations through the acquisition of California-based Revolv Industrial Fleet Solutions, a commercial fleet electrification company backed by GDEV Management. The move highlights rising confidence in the long-term growth potential of commercial vehicle electrification across North America.
The U.S. zero-emission truck market continues to gain momentum, with more than 59,000 zero-emission trucks deployed nationwide. California remains the leading market, accounting for over 10,600 of those vehicles, according to a recent CALSTART Market Update.
With the acquisition, Zenobē strengthens its existing North American footprint in student transportation and public transit while extending its capabilities into commercial fleet electrification. The company has now taken over operations at 13 customer sites in California, supporting more than 100 electric trucks, along with additional projects currently under development. The integration of the Revolv team is expected to enhance Zenobē’s commercial fleet expertise in the region while ensuring continuity for customers during the transition.
Andreas Lips, recently appointed President of EV North America at Zenobē, said Revolv’s end-to-end electrification model aligns closely with Zenobē’s global expertise and long-term growth ambitions in the region. He noted that fleet operators are increasingly seeking partners that can provide vehicles, charging infrastructure, financing solutions and battery performance management through a single platform. According to Lips, the acquisition will strengthen Zenobē’s ability to deliver scalable, flexible electrification solutions across North America.
Zenobē Founder Director Steven Meersman described the deal as an important opportunity to accelerate fleet electrification at scale by combining Revolv’s platform with Zenobē’s deep operational experience and financing capabilities. He also acknowledged the role played by Revolv CEO Scott Davidson and GDEV Management in supporting the company’s early growth.
Zenobē’s North American portfolio already includes school bus electrification programs in Methuen, Massachusetts, Long Island, New York, and Chicago, Illinois, as well as a major public transit electrification project under development in Brampton, Ontario. The company also continues to expand its commercial fleet partnerships across both the U.S. and Canada.
A key part of Zenobē’s strategy is its battery-as-a-service model, which places battery health, performance and lifecycle value at the center of fleet electrification. Through this approach, Zenobē offers performance guarantees, takes on battery-related risks and helps unlock residual value through second-life battery solutions, delivering long-term benefits for school bus, transit and commercial fleet operators.
Ms. Shreya Malik, Managing Director, Infrastructure at KKR, said the transaction reflects strong belief in the long-term opportunity for fleet electrification and the role of private infrastructure capital in accelerating the energy transition. Priya Veerapen, Managing Director at Infracapital, added that Revolv’s addition marks another milestone in Zenobē’s growth, strengthening its premium fleet electrification platform in North America and providing a solid base for further expansion in the hard-to-decarbonize transport sector.
