Linnavuori, Finland – AGCO Power., a subsidiary of AGCO Corporation and a tractors and forestry machinery manufacturer, has announced a €54 million investment in new production facilities at its Linnavuori plant in Finland. The expansion strengthens the company’s manufacturing capabilities and highlights AGCO’s long-term commitment to sustainability and the circular economy.
This investment forms part of AGCO’s earlier €70 million commitment to the Linnavuori engine plant and includes a state-of-the-art machining hall for producing Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) components and cylinder heads for AGCO Power’s latest CORE engine range. The upgraded remanufacturing area will also significantly expand capacity for rebuilding engines to factory standards.
The Linnavuori site produces engines for AGCO’s leading global brands — Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra — and serves as AGCO’s Global Center of Expertise for Engines.
Mr. Kelvin Bennett, Senior Vice President of Engineering at AGCO, said, “This machining investment strengthens Linnavuori’s role as AGCO’s global center of expertise for engines. We are investing in cutting-edge production technology and sustainable solutions that support farmers around the world.”
Mr. Stefan Caspari, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience and Business Effectiveness at AGCO, said, “Farmers value total cost of ownership. This expansion enables AGCO to support them not only through new equipment investments but also by maintaining existing machinery with more cost-effective remanufacturing solutions.”
