CASE CE Launches eCWL 12EV: Smart Electric Wheel Loader

Munich, Germany – CASE Construction Equipment., a brand of CNH and a construction equipment manufacturer., has introduced an innovative electric compact wheel loader concept, CASE eCWL 12EV, at Bauma 2025. This bold new concept reimagines how construction machinery can be operated, setting a new standard for safety, accessibility, and smart automation in the industry.

The CASE eCWL 12EV, a fully electric compact wheel loader designed without a traditional cab. Instead, the machine is remotely controlled from a dedicated control lounge, giving operators the ability to run the loader from a safe, comfortable environment. This breakthrough allows for operations in hazardous or extreme conditions, enhancing both safety and productivity on-site.

The CASE eCWL 12EV is a fully electric compact wheel loader powered by a 23-kWh cobalt-free lithium-ion battery, offering 3–6 hours of runtime. It supports standard 230V charging and optional fast 400V charging, reaching 80% in about an hour. The loader delivers a 1,145 kg payload, features dual electric motors for driveline and hydraulics, and includes a spacious ROPS/FOPS cab with comfort features like air suspension, AC, and intuitive controls. With zero emissions and low noise, it's ideal for indoor or eco-sensitive jobsites.

The remote-control design opens up new possibilities for inclusivity. Operators with mobility impairments can now manage the machine without physical barriers, marking a major step forward in accessibility within construction equipment design.

The CASE eCWL 12EV concept also features a cutting-edge integrated perception system that leverages advanced sensors and hardware to collect real-time operational data. This technology improves accuracy and overall efficiency, while semi-autonomous functions, such as automated digging and dumping, help streamline repetitive tasks, reduce fatigue, and boost jobsite productivity.

Developed by the CNH Industrial Design team in collaboration with CNH’s Vehicle and Electronics Department and key tech partners, Impact reflects CASE’s ongoing commitment to smart, safe, and forward-thinking engineering. With this concept, CASE Construction Equipment signals a bold vision for the future, where machinery is not only more sustainable and efficient but also more inclusive and intelligent.
