Irving, Texas – Caterpillar Inc., a construction and mining equipment manufacturer, has introduced its new Cat Fleet Bucket Program, designed to help customers take advantage of Cat ground engaging tools (GET) even when using third-party buckets from local manufacturers. The program allows both new and rebuilt buckets - whether Caterpillar-branded or not, to be equipped with Cat GET, supporting standardization and ensuring consistent performance across mixed fleets.
Mr. Atif Hassan, Fleet Bucket Program Manager, Caterpillar, said, "We recognize some customers have their bucket needs served locally by third-party bucket manufacturers. Our program is about Caterpillar meeting GET needs of the customer through their preferred channel. When a bucket is rebuilt or replaced, customers will continue to benefit from the same Cat GET that comes pre-fitted on Cat buckets purchased with a new Cat machine, even if the replacement bucket is not from Caterpillar. Plus, the GET is backed by a Cat limited warranty and receives unparalleled parts availability through the global Cat dealer network."
The Cat Fleet Bucket Program covers a wide range of machine types, including compact loaders, wheeled and backhoe loaders, excavators, hydraulic mining shovels, and rope shovels. By collaborating with hundreds of local bucket manufacturers worldwide, Caterpillar and its dealer network ensure that customers can fit Cat GET onto customized bucket designs, helping extend wear life, reduce downtime, and potentially boost productivity.
Customers can now equip thousands of Cat GET products—including adapters, tips, cutting edges, and side protectors—on any bucket, backed by a 12-month Caterpillar Limited Warranty and global dealer support. Through the Cat Fleet Bucket Program, GET can also be covered under a Customer Value Agreement (CVA) for simplified parts supply, stable pricing, and dealer-managed support.
Additionally, the Bucket Pro App helps track GET wear in real time, providing on-site reports and monthly insights on cost, productivity, and component life. By enabling Cat GET on both Cat and non-Cat buckets, the program helps fleets worldwide achieve consistent performance and longer wear life.
