Harsewinkel, Germany – CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the CLAAS Disco 1100 Direct Swather, the largest mounted swath-merging mower in its lineup, designed to improve efficiency in large-scale forage harvesting operations.
The new mower offers a 10.7-metre working width and is capable of forming swaths up to 21 metres wide, enabling forage harvesters to operate at higher capacity and maintain consistent crop flow during harvesting.
The Disco 1100 Direct Swather is designed to cut and merge forage in a single pass, eliminating the need for separate swathing operations. By combining multiple mower passes into large, uniform swaths, the machine helps reduce field passes while increasing harvesting efficiency.
With its wide coverage and swath-merging capability, the mower is aimed at large farms and agricultural contractors using high-capacity forage harvesters. The system ensures evenly formed swaths that allow harvesters to pick up forage more efficiently, improving productivity during silage harvesting.
The launch of the Disco 1100 Direct Swather expands CLAAS’s Disco mower range and strengthens its offering in high-capacity forage harvesting equipment.
