Harsewinkel, Germany - CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has launched its new JAGUAR 1000 series forage harvesters, a lineup designed to set new benchmarks in throughput, efficiency, and operator comfort. The unveiling took place in Visalia, California, before an audience of dealers, producers, and media representatives.
The four-model range - JAGUAR 1080, 1090, 1100 and 1200, delivers engine outputs from 850 to 1,110 hp and throughput rates of up to 500 tons per hour. Developed in collaboration with North American growers, the machines emphasize higher capacity, improved chop quality, and reduced downtime.
Mr. Matt Jaynes, Product Manager at CLAAS of America, said, “We didn't just tweak the old platform - we reimagined everything. These machines feature a truly ground-up engineering approach, with wider crop flow, a more intelligent drive system, and significant advancements in chop quality and cab comfort.”
Key features include a 24-liter MAN V12 engine with intelligent load management, the industry’s widest crop flow channel, and a new 910 mm (36 in) V-FLEX knife drum for consistent feeding and chop quality. The MULTI CROP CRACKER XL roller system, available in CLASSIC and SHREDLAGE versions, ensures faster and more effective processing, with AI-based quality analysis available via smartphone.
Operators also benefit from new PICK UP and ORBIS headers with independent variable drives, eliminating chain systems and reducing maintenance needs. Inside the cab, upgrades include a premium seat, joystick steering, noise reduction, and the latest NUTRIMETER with real-time dry matter analysis for precise feed management.
Customer trials have shown up to a 20% increase in daily harvesting capacity compared to previous models.
With more than 50 years of forage harvester development and 25 years of global market leadership, CLAAS says the JAGUAR 1000 series continues its tradition of delivering performance, reliability, and innovation.
