Suffolk, England – Claydon Yield-o-Meter Ltd., a drilling technology company, will unveil its Opti-Till crop establishment range at Cereals 2025, taking place at Lincolnshire, designed to support sustainable farming and improve operational flexibility.
Claydon’s new NutriSeeder, developed for regenerative farming and tested on the company’s own farm. Designed for the 7.5m Straw Harrow, it comes in single (200L) or twin-hopper versions, with the latter enabling dual seed application mixed at the distribution head. Featuring a hydraulic fan and electronic metering linked to forward speed, it operates efficiently at up to 15kph. Adjustable seed rates suit various crops, while eight spreader plates and 14mm or 16mm tines ensure even distribution and good seed-to-soil contact.
Claydon will debut its new single-leg Mole Draine, designed for use with a well-ballasted 200hp tractor, it combines the benefits of mounted and trailed systems. A narrow, streamlined beam reduces draft and fuel use while creating clean, stable drainage channels. An oscillating headstock with swivel joint ensures easy manoeuvrability, and chains allow smooth lifting at pass ends. A narrow front skid precisely controls depth and angle, enabling effective drainage even through standing crops with minimal disturbance.
Also on show will be the Evolution Front Hopper, a 2,750-litre pressurised unit (45/55% split) with dual metering for separate or combined seed/fertiliser delivery. ISOBUS-compatible and managed via an ISOCAN terminal, it supports variable rate seeding. Weighing 730kg, it features interchangeable metering wheels, integrated sensors, and options including packer wheels, ballast, and vision kits.
Mr. David Furber, Sales Manager for the UK and ROI at Claydon, said, “We’re showcasing how our systems align with Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) schemes and cater to growers using companion crops. The flexibility we offer - from our 3m Evolution M3F to the 6m T6 - shows how our drills support soil health and productivity.”
