Bologna, Italy- Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., a motorcycle manufacturer, has unveiled the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia, a limited-edition motorcycle celebrating Italian excellence and Francesco Bagnaia’s triumph at the 2024 Mugello Grand Prix. The presentation took place under the patronage of Altagamma, a foundation that brings together top Italian cultural and creative brands. It also marked the start of events promoted by MIMIT for the Italian National Day of Made in Italy, held every April 15 to celebrate the country’s industrial and artistic achievements.
The prestigious Salone degli Arazzi inside Palazzo Piacentini in Rome, home to MIMIT, served as the venue for the presentation of the Ducati Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia a fitting location symbolizing Italian entrepreneurial and industrial excellence. The bike was unveiled by Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, in the presence of Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The event concluded with farewell greetings from Andrea Abodi, Minister for Sport and Youth.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia is based on the new Panigale V4 S, introduced at World Ducati Week 2023. It represents a major step forward in aerodynamics, chassis design, and electronic systems, featuring advanced technologies like the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.
To enhance track performance, this model comes with carbon fiber five-spoke wheels, reducing weight by 0.950 kg compared to the forged wheels of the Panigale V4 S. This lowers inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear, improving agility and stability during acceleration and cornering.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia is the first production motorcycle in the world to feature the Front Brake Pro+ system, a cutting-edge braking setup inspired by Superbike World Championship technology and used by Ducati factory riders in the 2024 Race of Champions. This system includes two finned Brembo T-Drive discs (338.5 mm diameter, 6.2 mm thickness) that enhance braking power and consistency, GP4 Sport Production racing calipers, machined from solid with cooling fins and homologated for road use, and an MCS 19.21 front brake pump with remote lever adjustment, similar to MotoGP and Superbike configurations.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia is designed for track enthusiasts, featuring premium components as standard. It comes equipped with a dry clutch for a race-like feel, adjustable solid aluminum footpegs for customized ergonomics, and a GPS module for precise lap timing. Cooling enhancements include a carbon fiber open clutch cover and brake caliper conveyors, while a racing tank cap and license plate holder removal kit make it fully track-ready. Riders will also enjoy a special Alcantara saddle, a racing plexiglass windscreen, and a dedicated key-on dashboard animation. Each bike bears Pecco Bagnaia’s original signature on the fuel tank and is delivered in a personalized wooden crate. As a true collector’s item, it features a machined aluminum steering plate engraved with the model name, unit number, circuit profile, and an inscription honoring Bagnaia’s record-breaking lap. Each unit also includes a certificate of authenticity, a custom motorcycle cover, and an aluminum badge on the ignition key with the unit number. Additionally, owners can opt for a limited-edition professional racing suit, made of kangaroo leather, designed to match the bike’s exclusive color scheme.
Mr. Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, said, “Being at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy today to present the Panigale V4 Tricolore Italia is a great honour and marks the culmination of a project that reflects the pure essence of Made in Italy. I remember with great emotion the Mugello race last year, which ended with the unforgettable victory in ‘Azzurro’ on our home track, right on Republic Day. A success full of meaning and transformed into something tangible for our Ducatisti thanks to 163 unique bikes - 1 like Pecco's first place and 63 like his race number in MotoGP - which embody Italy’s passion and sporting soul, expressions of our uniqueness on the international scene. On behalf of Ducati, I thank Minister Urso and MIMIT for hosting us and making this occasion even more important.”
