Electreon Wireless Ltd., a dynamic wireless electric vehicle charging, has announced the successful completion of its acquisition of InductEV Inc., a U.S.-based specialist in ultra-fast, high-power stationary wireless charging for heavy-duty transit and freight applications.

With the addition of InductEV’s assets and intellectual property, Electreon now offers one of the industry’s broadest wireless charging portfolios, covering passenger vehicles, light commercial vans, transit buses, and heavy-duty Class 8 trucks.

The acquisition brings together two established wireless charging companies with the shared goal of making the transition to electric mobility easier and more practical for commercial fleet operators. The combined offering now supports a full range of charging use cases, including dynamic in-road charging while driving, opportunity charging during scheduled route stops, and overnight charging in depots and parking areas.

Electreon says this integrated approach gives fleet customers a wireless alternative to conventional conductive charging systems such as cables, trolleys, and pantographs, helping simplify operations while improving convenience and safety.

The combined technology platform is designed to deliver several operational and financial advantages for fleets. These include:

      • Higher uptime, by allowing vehicles to charge during normal route operations rather than requiring separate charging stops
      • Reduced range anxiety, through route-based charging solutions that can support extended or near-continuous vehicle operation
      • Improved safety and convenience, with hands-free wireless charging that removes the need for drivers to handle cables or connectors in challenging weather conditions
      • Lower total cost of ownership, by enabling the use of smaller and lighter batteries, which can reduce vehicle cost and increase payload capacity
      • Integrated infrastructure support, allowing fleets with different vehicle types to operate on a common wireless charging platform
      • Stronger intellectual property position, with the combined business bringing together nearly 400 granted and pending patents
      • Better grid efficiency, supported by Electreon’s Flow software, which helps optimize energy delivery and reduce peak-demand costs

Electreon said existing and future customers will gain access to a more streamlined technology roadmap, broader deployment support, and a strengthened supply chain. The acquisition also combines Electreon’s offshore manufacturing efficiencies with InductEV’s Build America Buy America (BABA)-compliant offerings.

This is expected to be particularly important for North American transit agencies and federal contractors, who often require BABA-compliant solutions to remain eligible for government funding and incentive programs.

Mr. Oren Ezer, CEO and Co-founder of Electreon, described the deal as a milestone for the wireless charging sector, noting that the combination of Electreon’s dynamic charging technology and InductEV’s expertise in ultra-fast stationary charging creates a unique offering for commercial fleets.

Mr. John F. Rizzo, CEO of InductEV, said the integration will give customers in North America and Europe a more scalable and practical path to adopting wireless charging technology, while supporting sustainable and hands-free fleet electrification.

With this acquisition, Electreon positions itself as a single wireless charging partner capable of addressing every major commercial fleet charging scenario, helping operators adopt electric vehicles without sacrificing efficiency, uptime, or operational flexibility.
