Stockholm, Sweden - Epiroc AB., a mining equipment company, has introduced the new-generation PowerROC T25 MKII surface drill rig, bringing a range of upgrades aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, and operator comfort for quarry and aggregate applications.
The new PowerROC T25 features Epiroc’s latest PowerROC control system, designed to optimize fuel efficiency while simplifying machine operation. The system automatically adjusts engine speed to match real-time drilling requirements, helping ensure efficient power delivery during operation.
A 12-inch display screen provides operators with access to all key machine data, creating a user experience aligned with other models in the range, including the PowerROC T35 MKII and PowerROC T45 MKII.
Epiroc has also introduced a new cabin design as part of the upgraded rig. The cabin offers improved visibility, enhanced ergonomics, and greater operator comfort, while also reducing noise and vibration levels. These changes are intended to create a safer and more productive working environment.
Powering the new rig is a Volvo diesel engine rated at 129 kW (173 hp). The engine is available in both Tier 3 and Tier 4 Final/Stage V configurations, allowing the machine to meet varying emissions requirements across different markets. Epiroc says the engine delivers the performance needed for construction, civil engineering, and small aggregate and limestone quarrying applications.
The PowerROC T25 MKII is offered in both long-feed and short-feed versions, enabling customers to choose the configuration best suited for different single-pass drilling depth requirements.
In addition, the rig’s modular design is intended to simplify maintenance and help streamline spare parts inventory, supporting easier serviceability for fleet operators.
Designed for construction, civil engineering, and small aggregate quarry operations, the new PowerROC T25 MKII reflects Epiroc’s continued focus on advancing drilling technology and improving operational efficiency.
