Twin axle Van trailers featuring with durability, safety enhancements, and 50th anniversary branding. Both companies prioritize environmental sustainability.
Date: August 19, 2024Morley, United Kingdom – Evri Limited., a UK parcel delivery company, has ordered 139 twin-axle van trailers from Tiger Trailers Limited. The first batch is nearly complete, with the remaining trailers set to be delivered by mid-Q4. These trailers will support Evri’s peak Christmas period, during which the company plans to transport over 3 million parcels.
The new 4-meter-high trailers, built to Evri’s specs, feature a galvanised rear frame with integrated buffers for durability. They include safety enhancements like a full-length door strap for easy closure, a retractable tail-lift Dhollandia with P-gates for loading, and yellow side infills for cyclist visibility. The Haldex GEN-4 braking system and TEM (Trailer Emergency Module) Safe Parking valve ensure enhanced safety during operation.
Mr. David Landy, Evri’s Head of Fleet, said, “We’re delighted with the new trailers, they look great and are helping us celebrate our heritage and 50 years of courier deliveries. We have a great relationship with Tiger and they have been superb in meeting our unique needs for the new trailers.”
Mr. Darren Holland, Tiger Trailers Sales Director, said, “It’s fantastic that we are continuing to strengthen the relationship with the Evri team. At each enquiry stage we go through the same process of evaluation of the existing fleet to ensure that the final trailer design is perfect for the Evri operation. We are very proud of the relationship and the final trailers that we are supplying into their operation.”
Branded in Evri’s special 50th anniversary livery, the new articulated semi-trailers from Tiger are likely to stand out on the road, with 25 featuring a uniquely stylised Evri logo. Both Tiger and Evri are committed to environmental sustainability. Tiger's factory has solar panels and biodiversity areas, while Evri’s flagship superhub features similar initiatives. Evri’s fleet includes 202 Biomethane Compressed Natural Gas (Bio-CNG) tractor units, which cut CO2 emissions by up to 84% and reduce NOx, particulate matter, and noise pollution compared to diesel trucks. Tiger also manufactures skeletal and other specialist trailers for Evri’s CNG supplier.
