Haryana - Hyundai Motor India., an automotive manufacturer, has launched the Hyundai Creta Electric, marking a key addition to EV portfolio. This new model combines SUV design, performance, and sustainability, offering two battery options and a range of up to 473 km to meet the evolving preferences of Indian consumers.
The Hyundai Creta Electric showcases design elements inspired by Hyundai’s global pixel design language. Its exterior features a pixelated graphic front grille with an integrated charging port, pixelated bumpers, and LED tail lamps. Active air flaps (AAF) optimize airflow for cooling and aerodynamics, while R17 Aero Alloy Wheels with low rolling resistance (LRR) tyres enhance range and aerodynamics.
The Hyundai Creta Electric offers two battery options: a 51.4 kWh battery with a 473 km range and a 42-kWh battery offering 390 km. It supports rapid DC charging, reaching 10% to 80% in 58 minutes, and can be fully charged in about 4 hours with an 11-kW wall box charger.
The long-range variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and features technologies like Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), i-Pedal, and a shift-by-wire system. Available in four variants—Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence—customers can choose from 8 monotone and 2 dual-tone colors, including a new Ocean Blue Metallic with a black roof.
Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at HMIL, said, “Hyundai Creta Electric represents the company's commitment to offering localized electric SUVs tailored for Indian consumers. The introduction of the Hyundai Creta Electric aligns with Hyundai's global vision of sustainable mobility. The company is focusing on battery localization, infrastructure development, and offering advanced electric mobility solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
