Mumbai- India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd., has signalled a bold new phase in India with three major introductions: the all-new XSR155 modern-retro motorcycle, its first electric two-wheelers the AEROX-E and EC-06 and the youth-focused FZ-RAVE. Together, these launches strengthen Yamaha’s footprint in the premium and deluxe motorcycle space while opening a fresh chapter in sustainable mobility tailored to evolving Indian rider preferences.

The XSR155 brings Yamaha’s modern-retro sport ethos to riders who want classic lines without giving up contemporary engineering. It’s designed to balance everyday convenience with engaging performance and responsive handling, delivering an immersive ride that fits city use as well as open-road escapes. By entering India’s most hotly contested segment with this model, Yamaha underscores its intent to build motorcycles that match the lifestyle and aspirations of today’s riders.

Yamaha’s first EVs for India split neatly between performance and practicality. The AEROX-E is a maxi-sport-inspired electric scooter powered by a peak 9.4 kW motor producing 48 Nm of torque, paired with dual detachable 3 kWh batteries using high-energy cells. It delivers a certified range of 106 km and offers Eco, Standard, and Power modes plus a “Boost” function for rapid getaways, along with a reverse mode for convenience. Styling cues include twin LED Class-D headlights, a 3D-effect LED tail lamp, and a large color TFT with turn-by-turn navigation. Y-Connect app features such as maintenance reminders and last-parked location add smart ownership touches, while front and rear discs with single-channel ABS aim to elevate safety.

Positioned as a stylish, practical commuter, the EC-06 focuses on interurban mobility and daily ease of use. It features a 4.5 kW motor (6.7 kW peak) and a 4 kWh fixed battery for a certified 160 km range, charging fully from a home socket in roughly nine hours. Three riding modes and a reverse function help tailor performance, and everyday utility is boosted by front and rear disc brakes, LED lighting, a colored LCD display, and a built-in telematics unit with SIM for real-time connectivity. Under-seat storage of 24.5 liters further enhances day-to-day practicality.

For young riders seeking street-smart performance without sacrificing efficiency, Yamaha has rolled out the FZ-RAVE. Drawing on the brand’s successful FZ lineage, it sports aggressive design elements such as a full-LED projector headlamp with position light, a sculpted fuel tank, cosmetic air vents, and a sharp tail. Power comes from a proven 149 cc, air-cooled single making 9.1 kW, mated to a 5-speed gearbox for clean, linear acceleration. Single-channel ABS, front and rear disc brakes, a 13-liter fuel tank, and a 136 kg kerb weight round out a package tuned for confidence and convenience in city riding. It will be offered in Matte Titan and Metallic Black, colors developed through direct conversations with young Indian riders.

With the XSR155, AEROX-E, EC-06, and FZ-RAVE, Yamaha is expanding choice across modern-retro thrills, premium electric performance, long-range smart commuting, and accessible 150 cc street riding. The common threads are contemporary design, connected tech, practical features, and a clear push toward sustainability—signalling Yamaha’s intent to shape the future of two-wheeler mobility in India.
