Lockerbie, Scotland – J.C. Bamford Excavators Limited., a construction equipment manufacturer, will demonstrate several new and updated machines at ScotGrass on Wednesday, May 13, with the new Fastrac 6300 making its first public working appearance at the grassland event near Lockerbie, Dumfries & Galloway.
Organized by the AEA at Slacks Farm, ScotGrass is a practical working event focused on grass management, harvesting and feeding technology. JCB’s demonstration line-up will include the 335 hp Fastrac 6300 and the 235 hp Fastrac 4220 on McHale’s working plot, where the tractors will operate with high-capacity grassland equipment such as mowers, tedders, balers and wrappers.
The new Fastrac 6300 retains JCB’s full front and rear axle suspension system, designed to improve ride comfort and maintain traction during field operations. The tractor can travel legally at speeds of up to 66 kph and is equipped with suspended axles and a braking system built to commercial vehicle standards. It is powered by a new engine paired with a stepless transmission for smoother speed control and efficient torque delivery.
Inside the cab, JCB’s iCON touchscreen control centre supports ISOBUS implement control and factory-installed precision farming features. These include multi-mode guidance, automated headland turn patterns and a twin satellite receiver system designed to maintain accuracy on rolling ground.
JCB will also display the latest 435S loading shovel on the silage clamp. The machine delivers a 12% increase in peak power to 282 hp and offers a claimed 19 hp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio. It also features new six-speed powershift control options, along with optional load weighing and lever steering.
Other machines in the working line-up include the Loadall 542-100 telescopic handler and the new TM110 ultra-compact telescopic wheeled loader. The Loadall 542-100 offers a 4.2-tonne lift capacity and 9.8-metre lift height, while the TM110 measures just 1.56 metres wide and 2.2 metres high, with a 1,100 kg lift capacity at full articulation and towing capacity of up to 750 kg.
