Delhi- KTM is an Austrian motorcycle., has launched two new variants in its adventure motorcycle lineup in India, the updated 390 Adventure X and the 390 Adventure Enduro R, which follows the brand’s global specification. These additions strengthen KTM’s offering in the mid-capacity adventure segment, catering to both urban explorers and hardcore off-road enthusiasts.
The updated 390 Adventure X now comes equipped with several high-end electronic features previously available only on KTM’s flagship models. These include cruise control with both cruise and speed limiter modes, cornering ABS for improved braking safety while turning, and motorcycle traction control for enhanced stability across varying terrains. Riders can now also select from three ride modes Street, Rain, and Off-road to suit different road and weather conditions.
The 390 Adventure Enduro R is the international-spec version designed specifically for serious off-road performance. It boasts 230 mm of wheel travel at both ends, spoke wheels fitted with KAROO 4 off-road tires, and an adjustable suspension system that includes a 30-step damping setup for the front fork and a 20-step damping with 10-step preload adjustment for the rear shock. The Enduro R weighs just 159.2 kg (dry) and features a tall seat height of 895 mm, making it ideal for trail riding and rugged terrain.
Both variants are powered by the same 398.63cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 46 hp at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is EU5-compliant and comes paired with a 6-speed transmission, ensuring strong performance with cleaner emissions.
On the technology front, both motorcycles include dual-channel ABS, a ride-by-wire throttle, LED lighting, and a TFT dashboard. The Enduro R offers additional features such as a quick shifter, turn-by-turn navigation, and a USB-C charging port, providing extra convenience for long-distance and off-road riders.
KTM entered the Indian market in 2012 through a partnership with Bajaj Auto, which began in 2007. Today, KTM operates over 450 retail outlets across the country and has a growing customer base of approximately 500,000 riders, making India its largest global market.
