Parma, Italy - Laurini Officine Meccaniche Srl., an earthmoving equipment manufacturer, has unveiled its first high-reach demolition machine, the Settanta, marking the company's 70th anniversary. Designed entirely in-house, the 33-tonne excavator targets high-reach and heavy tool applications, aiming to set a new benchmark in demolition equipment.
The Settanta offers four interchangeable boom configurations: a high-reach demolition boom with a 24.5-metre pin height for a 3,000 kg tool, a triple boom reaching 14 metres for tools up to 6,000 kg, a telescopic boom adjustable from 25 to 30 metres for a 2,000 kg tool, and a lattice lifting boom with an integrated hydraulic winch.
Although weighing 33 tonnes, it delivers performance comparable to converted 45-tonne machines. Key features include a frame-integrated counterweight, a compact 2.5-metre transport width, and a hydraulically adjustable undercarriage extending up to 3.7 metres. Its long side frames, wide track shoes, and reinforced slewing ring further enhance stability and load handling.
The Settanta is powered by a 257 kW Scania DC09 engine and a Danfoss load-sensing hydraulic system, with quick switching between up to five tools. Its FOPS-certified cab offers heating, air conditioning, and a 30° hydraulic tilt for better visibility. Key innovations include Laurini’s HQCS quick coupling system for fast connections and a self-mounting function that lets the machine handle its own boom setup without extra lifting equipment.
With the launch of the Settanta, Laurini Officine Meccaniche not only commemorates seven decades of engineering but also enters the demolition sector with a purpose-built machine that blends flexibility, power, and innovation.
