Munich, Germany- MAN Truck & Bus SE., is a subsidiary of Traton, has received an order from Dutch logistics provider Cornelissen Transport for twenty-seven electric trucks, including twenty-five MAN eTGX tractor units with GM cabs and two MAN eTGS trucks. These vehicles will primarily support supermarket deliveries, reflecting the growing importance of electric transport in the sector. Cornelissen's fleet currently consists of around 600 heavy-duty trucks and 100 vans.

Mr. Peter Leegstraten, Head of Purchasing and Innovation at Cornelissen, said, ‘We believe in electrification together with our clients and are committed to this investment. We expect that the tipping point where electric trucks become more profitable than diesels will be around 2027 or 2028.’

The first MAN electric trucks in Cornelissen’s design will hit the road by late June. The company chose MAN eTrucks for their reliability, timely delivery, and strong service network.

Equipped with spacious GM cabs, the MAN eTGX ensures driver comfort, while its compact 375 cm wheelbase suits supermarket distribution. Key features include dual-side charging ports and a 450 km range.
