Kerman, California – MEC Aerial Work Platforms., has introduced its latest innovation, the 66-RJ Diesel Telescopic Boom Lift, designed to tackle demanding construction and industrial applications with precision and performance.
Engineered for tough environments, the 66-RJ is described by MEC as “rental tough” and “full-featured,” offering a rugged solution for accessing hard-to-reach work areas. Central to its versatility is a 6-foot multi-directional jib that provides 135 degrees of vertical articulation, 120 degrees of horizontal rotation, and 180 degrees of platform rotation. This allows operators to maneuver around structural obstacles with minimal base repositioning, enhancing jobsite efficiency.
With a working height of 72 feet and 56 feet of horizontal outreach, the machine ensures extended access without compromising stability. It boasts a dual lift capacity of 900 pounds (restricted) and 600 pounds (unrestricted), enabling it to carry multiple operators, tools, and materials with ease. According to MEC, the jib's design delivers robust support even when fully extended.
Mobility is another key highlight of the 66-RJ. The lift features two-wheel steer, four-wheel steer, and crab steering, allowing precise navigation in tight or angled spaces. Its four-wheel drive system, complete with locking differentials, 7-degree oscillating axles, and foam-filled rough-terrain tires, provides dependable traction across uneven ground and up to 45% gradeability.
A fully proportional multi-function joystick offers smooth and intuitive control, supporting safer and more productive operation.
With the 66-RJ, MEC continues its focus on innovative, operator-centric designs that meet the evolving needs of modern jobsites, especially those requiring both high reach and advanced maneuverability.
