Michigan, USA - MORGAN OLSON LLC., an aluminum walk-in step vans producer, has introduced the Kestrel Work Truck, a compact and fuel-efficient alternative to traditional step vans, built on the Jeep Gladiator platform for delivery and service needs. Designed with a single-cab Jeep Gladiator featuring a high-strength steel chassis, the Kestrel offers excellent maneuverability and durability, ideal for rural and off-road conditions. Customers can choose from various configurations, including left- or right-hand drive and four-wheel drive options.
The Kestrel work truck is equipped with a versatile, customizable aluminum service box designed to meet the specific needs of various industries, allowing businesses to tailor the vehicle to their unique operational requirements. It is powered by the Jeep Gladiator Sport model’s robust 3.6-liter V6 gasoline engine, which is paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission. This combination delivers respectable fuel efficiency, achieving approximately 17 miles per gallon in city driving and 22 miles per gallon on the highway, making it a practical choice for both urban and long-distance use.
Inside the cab, the Kestrel provides all the comfort and convenience features expected from Jeep’s renowned platform. The driver benefits from a six-way adjustable seat that enhances comfort during long shifts, while the advanced infotainment system includes voice-activated audio controls and a large 12.3-inch touchscreen display equipped with Uconnect 5 navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, multiple USB ports, and SiriusXM AM/FM/Satellite radio.
Safety is a major focus, with high-tech features such as predictive advanced brake assist, electronic stability control with anti-rollover technology, and forward collision warning plus mitigation systems, all designed to protect drivers and improve overall road safety.
Mr. Joe Rudolph, Vice president of sales and marketing at Morgan Olson, said, “Safety and serviceability were among our top priorities in developing the Kestrel. These latest technologies are supported by an existing service network.”
While final specifications on weight and payload are pending, the Kestrel is expected to offer a usable payload close to 1,700 pounds, matching the Jeep Gladiator 4x4 Sport model’s 1,725-pound capacity.
