The upcoming Amaze will feature a comprehensive redesign, with a fresh look both inside and out. It will be built on a tweaked version of the platform used by the Honda City and Elevate. To fit the sub-four-meter length category, the Amaze will have a shorter wheelbase compared to the City and Elevate, which are 2600 mm and 2650 mm, respectively. The current Amaze has a wheelbase of 2470 mm, and the new model is expected to have a similar measurement, aligning with the compact sedan standards in India.

The next-gen Honda Amaze will be powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque and will be available with a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. This new Amaze will be offered exclusively with petrol engines, following Honda’s decision to end diesel engine production in India.
Simultaneously, Honda is working on a new PF2 platform, set to support upcoming models such as SUVs, compact electric vehicles, and the next-gen City sedan. This versatile platform will be designed to support various powertrains, including hybrid and electric options. Additionally, Honda is developing a new three-row SUV, with contributions from its R&D facilities in Japan and Thailand, and input from Honda Cars India.
