Milan, Italy – Raimondi Cranes., an Italian heritage manufacturer of heavy lifting solutions under Arada Industries, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire key crane businesses from U.S.-based Terex Corporation. The deal includes Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Self-Erecting Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, and the company’s North American service and support operation in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The acquisition, described as the most significant in Raimondi’s history, expands the company’s portfolio beyond luffing jib and tower cranes to include self-erecting and rough terrain cranes, strengthening its position as a global lifting solutions provider. Around 250 Terex employees will join Raimondi Group, bringing the company’s total workforce to nearly 400.
Mr. Luigi Maggioni, CEO of Raimondi Group, said, “This transformative move marks a milestone in our journey to become a full-fledged global lifting conglomerate. By integrating Terex’s cranes and leveraging their strong market presence, we are creating synergies that will accelerate growth and deliver a broader range of solutions to our customers worldwide.”
The transaction includes Terex’s facilities in Fontanafredda and Crespellano, Italy, alongside the U.S. support hub. The integration will give Raimondi access to enhanced manufacturing capabilities, an established global distribution network, and a stronger foothold in North America, one of the world’s largest construction markets.
Mr. Simon Meester, President and CEO of Terex Corporation, said, “We believe the Tower and Rough Terrain crane businesses will benefit from becoming part of Raimondi, a company recognized for innovation and customer service. Our team is committed to ensuring a smooth transition for customers and employees.”
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals. Raimondi is targeting $500 million in annual revenue by 2028, supported by its expanded product lineup and global reach.
