Delhi- Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, the UK-owned motorcycle manufacturer has unveiled its latest model motorcycle, the Speed T4, with a price of ₹2.17 lakh. This model is an upgraded version of the Speed 400, offering a more budget-friendly option.
The T4 has a design similar to the Speed 400, but with some distinct differences. It features a more basic and cost-effective telescopic fork in the front and traditional mirrors instead of the Speed's stylish bar-end options. It has a simpler axially-mounted front brake caliper, basic gearshift and rear brake levers, and a handlebar without the premium sandblasted finish of the Speed 400. The T4 is also fitted with more economical bias-ply MRF Zapper tires and non-adjustable hand levers, while the updated Speed 400 now comes with Vredestein radial tires and adjustable levers in its MY25 model.
The T4 features the same 399cc TR-series engine as the Speed 400 but has been modified for a different riding experience. Its peak power output has decreased from 40hp and 37.5Nm to 31hp and 36Nm, yet it offers more torque between 3500rpm and 5500rpm. The rear sprocket size has changed from 43 to 39 teeth, and the absence of traction control further reduces costs.
