New York, USA - Turner Construction Company., has announced the launch of First Equipment Company (FEC), a new centralized equipment rental and site services business designed to enhance project efficiency and better support trade contractors.
The creation of FEC marks a strategic expansion of Turner’s service offerings. The company has already been operating on several Turner projects—particularly large-scale, advanced technology developments—where its integrated equipment and site services model has delivered measurable benefits. With this formal launch, FEC will now support projects nationwide, serving more than 40,000 trade contractors that work on Turner projects annually. In addition, FEC will offer its services to other general contractors and trade contractors across the U.S.
FEC becomes part of Turner’s broader investment in project delivery capabilities, alongside initiatives such as xPL Offsite, SourceBlue, the Turner Accelerated Payment Program, the Turner Engineering Group, and the expansion of self-perform operations. Collectively, these services underscore Turner’s focus on improving efficiency, strengthening trade partner relationships, and delivering greater value to clients.
By consolidating equipment rental and site services into a single dedicated organization, FEC simplifies the sourcing and management of essential jobsite resources. Its offerings range from heavy and operating equipment to temporary power, lighting, office and restroom trailers, fencing, and site control solutions. This centralized approach reduces administrative complexity, improves coordination, and provides project teams and contractors with clear points of contact for fast, reliable support.
Mr. Shannon Hines, Senior Vice President at Turner Construction, said, “First Equipment Company is a strategic investment in how we deliver projects. Providing contractors with a consistent, streamlined equipment experience helps improve field productivity and ultimately benefits our clients.”
FEC integrates procurement, operations, and support within one organization staffed by experienced equipment professionals who understand the demands of construction projects. With local teams embedded in key markets, the company manages sourcing, logistics, administration, and issue resolution—allowing project teams and trade contractors to focus on execution, safety, and quality.
