Mumbai- India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. has launched the all-new XSR155 in India, along with its first electric vehicles – the AEROX-E and EC-06 – and the new FZ-RAVE commuter motorcycle. Together, these models strengthen Yamaha’s presence in the premium motorcycle space while marking a decisive entry into electric mobility.

The XSR155 brings Yamaha’s modern-retro XSR philosophy to India, combining a round LED headlamp, teardrop fuel tank and retro-style LCD with modern engineering. It is powered by a 155cc liquid-cooled, VVA-equipped engine in a Deltabox frame with USD forks, aluminium swingarm, monocross rear suspension, dual-channel ABS and Traction Control, offering an engaging yet practical everyday ride.

The AEROX-E is a high-performance electric Maxi Sport scooter with a 9.4 kW peak motor, 48 Nm of torque and dual detachable 3 kWh batteries for a certified range of 106 km. It features Eco/Standard/Power modes, a Boost function, reverse mode, twin LED headlights, TFT display with navigation, Y-Connect smartphone app integration and disc brakes with single-channel ABS.

The EC-06 targets daily urban and interurban use with a 4.5 kW motor (6.7 kW peak), a fixed 4 kWh battery and a certified 160 km range. It offers three ride modes, reverse, front and rear disc brakes, LED lighting, a colour LCD meter, SIM-based telematics and 24.5 litres of under-seat storage, blending style, connectivity and practicality.

The FZ-RAVE updates Yamaha’s 150cc street segment with aggressive styling, full-LED projector headlamp, sculpted tank and Matte Titan / Metallic Black colour options. Powered by a 149cc air-cooled engine with a 5-speed gearbox, single-channel ABS and front & rear disc brakes, it balances performance, fuel efficiency, agility and everyday comfort for young city riders.

Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said, “India is central to Yamaha’s global growth strategy — a market where we see immense potential across both premium and electric mobility segments. The introduction of the XSR brand, our new EV models and the FZ-Rave mark a decisive step in strengthening our presence and aligning with India’s evolving mobility landscape. With these launches, we are deepening our connect with riders who seek performance, design, and technology, while also responding to the nation’s transition towards sustainable transportation. Our focus remains on creating value in India — through products built for its diverse customers, supported by India's vision of Viksit Bharat and guided by Yamaha’s global Environmental Plan 2050.”
