Schiphol-Rijk,Netherlands-Yamaha Motor Europe N.V.,a two wheeler manufacturer,  has revealed the updated Tracer 7 and Tracer 7 GT for 2025, bringing a host of significant changes aimed at making the middleweight sport-tourer more capable, comfortable, and connected. Key among the updates is the introduction of a ride-by-wire throttle system, enabling new features such as cruise control, riding modes, and traction control.

Both models continue to use the 690cc parallel-twin engine found in the latest MT-07, now upgraded to meet Euro5+ standards. Despite keeping the same peak power of 72.4bhp, torque has slightly increased to 50.2lb.ft. The engine also benefits from a 270° crankshaft for a more characterful exhaust note and improved low-end drive. A lighter assist and slipper clutch reduces lever effort by 22%.

New electronics are a major part of the 2025 update. Riders now get a five-inch full-colour TFT screen with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation via the Garmin StreetCross app. The bike offers three ride modes—Sport, Street, and Custom—plus two traction control levels and full cruise control, available from third gear upwards at 25mph.

Chassis changes include a revised steel frame for improved rigidity and a 40mm longer swingarm for added stability. Both models get 41mm upside-down forks (rebound adjustable) and Michelin Pilot Road 6 GT tyres as standard. The GT version benefits from a rear monoshock with a remote preload adjuster.

Comfort has also been a focus. Handlebars are now 30mm taller and 25mm wider, creating a more relaxed riding position. A new two-piece seat is adjustable by 20mm without tools, and the redesigned windscreen aims to reduce vibration and improve airflow.

The Tracer 7 GT goes further with added touring gear: a taller, thicker adjustable screen, standard heated grips, a centre stand, and colour-matched panniers capable of storing a helmet each. It also features a grey and blue paint scheme with gold forks for a premium look.

Prices begin at £8804 for the standard Tracer 7, rising to £10,104 for the GT, with both models set to arrive in dealerships from July 2025.
