Mr. Philippe Krief has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer to lead a team that anticipates and creates innovations, focusing on developing "intelligent" vehicles faster than competitors.
Date: July 23, 2024Boulogne-Billancourt, France- Renault Group., is pleased to announce that Mr. Philippe Krief will be appointed Chief Technology Officer, effective September 1st 2024. He will also continue his current role within the Alpine brand. Krief succeeds Gilles Le Borgne, who is now a strategic advisor to the CEO. Reporting to CEO Luca de Meo, Krief will oversee all Group engineering activities, leveraging his extensive experience, including his tenure as Director of Engineering at Ferrari.

As CEO of Alpine, he has spent the last year implementing the brand's strategy, launching the new A290 and upcoming GT crossover, and accelerating the development of a high-performance electric vehicle platform. Under his leadership, Alpine has also advanced hydrogen technology with the Alpenglow Hy4 prototype.

Philippe Krief, a graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, has a diverse career spanning Michelin, Fiat Group, Ferrari, and Maserati. He served as Director of Engineering at Ferrari and Technical Director of Alfa Romeo. In February 2023, he became Alpine's Director of Engineering and Product Performance before being appointed CEO.
