Turin, Italy - Case Construction Equipment., a construction equipment manufacturer, has expanded its midi excavator range with two new models - the CX85E and CX90E, designed to deliver big-machine power in compact, maneuverable packages. Weighing in at 8.8 metric tons and 9.2 metric tons respectively, both models feature 72-horsepower Yanmar engines and are engineered for tasks like trenching, digging, lifting, grading, and using attachments such as hammers, rippers, augers, thumbs, and grapples.
The CX85E and CX90E midi excavators from Case offer distinct features tailored for tight job sites. The CX85E comes with a fixed boom and zero tail swing, making it well-suited for working close to walls, fences, and other structures. In contrast, the CX90E features a 180-degree swing boom, enabling efficient digging in confined or offset positions.
To suit various ground conditions and customer needs, both models offer multiple track options, including 18- or 24-inch-wide steel tracks, full rubber tracks, or steel tracks with rubber pads.
Standard across both machines are advanced features aimed at operator comfort and productivity. These include auxiliary hydraulics with quick-coupler lines, automatic climate control, a heated air-suspension seat, a 7-inch LCD touchscreen, a rearview camera, ergonomic joystick controls, adjustable electro-hydraulic lift and tilt responsiveness, and a dozer blade with float function.
Optional upgrades enhance their versatility further, such as a six-way dozer blade with cutting edge, float, and dual-side foldable extensions, as well as an LED lighting package for improved visibility in low-light conditions.
The cab interiors are spacious and designed for enhanced visibility. Key maintenance points are located at ground level, and a tilting cab allows access to hydraulic components. Additionally, swing-out side panels and wider compartments streamline servicing.
With the addition of the CX85E and CX90E, Case now offers four midi models, including the CX75C SR (7.9 tons) and CX80C (8.6 tons), both powered by 56.3-hp Isuzu engines.
These new entries highlight CNH Industrial’s strategic push into the versatile midi excavator segment, balancing compact design with serious worksite capabilities.
