St. Valentin, Austria - Case IH., a division of CNH Industrial N.V., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, expands its Puma range with the Puma 240, the largest model available with PowerDrive. The 240/270hp (rated/max with boost) Puma 240 can be equipped with the PowerDrive full powershift transmission, offering an alternative to the standard CVXDrive. This gives buyers more options to suit various tasks, workloads, and budgets at this power level.
The Puma 240 with either electronic or mechanical remote valves, offers 18 or 19 forward speeds and six reverse speeds, depending on the maximum speed configuration. The new PowerDrive option provides 8% more power than the previous largest Puma model, the Puma 220, with key transmission components upgraded to match.
The Puma 185 and 200 with CVXDrive now offer larger Group 48 (2.05m) tyres, previously available only on Puma 220/240/260 models. Additionally, the class 4.5 front axle is now available on Puma 185/200/220/240 with PowerDrive, increasing load capacity by 13%. These axle upgrades allow a gross vehicle weight of 14,000kg for Puma models with PowerDrive and 15,000kg for those with CVXDrive.
Like other Case IH machines, the new model is compatible with FieldOps, an all-in-one data management app and web platform. It integrates agronomic insights and machine performance data, offering farmers a comprehensive fleet overview, regardless of machine brands.
