OMAHA, Nebraska - CLAAS FARMPOINT., a customer-centric dealership of CLAAS and an agricultural equipment service provider, is making a bold move into North Dakota, opening its first location in Buffalo to provide farmers with immediate access to equipment, parts, and service. This temporary site marks the beginning of a larger investment in the region, with construction already underway on a permanent facility near Jamestown and a second location planned for Devils Lake, which is set to open before the 2025 fall harvest.
Mr. Opie Kelley, North Dakota Complex Manager for CLAAS FARMPOINT, said, “With North Dakota leading the nation in wheat production, ranking second in alfalfa acreage, and placing among the top 10 states for corn and soybean output, it was a natural next step for expansion. We're excited to become part of the North Dakota agriculture community, where our new location in Buffalo and future locations will offer even more service and maintenance capabilities for our customers. It's a community with deep roots in agriculture and we're proud to call it the next home for CLAAS FARMPOINT.”
This expansion follows significant changes in CLAAS’s regional distribution model. CLAAS FARMPOINT now steps in to provide North Dakota farmers with direct access to the full CLAAS lineup including top-tier combines, forage harvesters, and tractors, backed by enhanced support and service.
Mr. Patricio Frangella, Head of Commercial Development at CLAAS FARMPOINT, said, “We’ve seen that the traditional machinery dealership model doesn’t always align with what today’s farmers need for service and maintenance. Our new approach is designed to better support uptime and boost productivity in the field.”
The FARMPOINT model prioritizes service by bringing support directly to farmers. Technicians are located near farms, and remote monitoring allows quick repairs, minimizing downtime. This approach meets modern farmers needs while building lasting relationships across the state.
