Munich, Germany- MAN Truck & Bus SE., a European Commercial vehicle manufacturers and transport, delivered twelve fully electric MAN eTGX trucks to logistics provider Dachser Group SE & Co. KG. These ultra-low-liner truck tractors enable Dachser to integrate e-trucks into its high-volume transport operations with mega trailers.
The mega trailers feature an additional 20 centimeters of interior height, thanks to a loading area positioned just under 100 centimeters above the road surface. This design increases cargo space by 8 cubic meters while maintaining the same length and width and staying within Germany’s 4-meter height limit. With double-deck loading, each mega trailer can accommodate up to 67 euro pallets.
Dr. Frederik Zohm, Executive Board member for Research & Development at MAN Truck & Bus, said, MAN eTGX ultra-low-liner trucks enhance Dachser’s sustainable logistics. Delivered on February 21, these e-trucks enable fully electric high-volume transport with mega trailers. The modular battery design provides up to 500 km range without compromising capacity.
Dachser drives sustainable logistics with over 120 e-trucks across Europe. Since 2015, it has expanded e-mobility, testing emission-free transport and smart charging solutions at key locations in Germany.
The MAN eTGX ultra-low-liner e-truck sets new standards with a 950 mm mounted height, 3.75 m wheelbase, and up to 500 km range. Its modular battery system (4-6 packs, 449-544 hp) ensures flexibility for high-volume transport. With CCS (375 kW) and optional MCS (1 MW) charging, it enables fast recharging. The MAN eTGX, eTGS, and eTGL complete MAN’s electric truck lineup.
