BharatBenz dealerships can now take advantage of CERO’s platform in scrapping customers’ ELVs. (End of Life Vehicles)
Date: February 23, 2022Chennai – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, near Chennai, a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG, has entered a partnership with CERO- Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Ltd. (MMRPL)1, a scrappage and steel recycling facility, to help their customers to recycling their older vehicle in purchase of new BharatBenz vehicles.

Mr. Satyakam Arya, Managing Director & CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles said, “Scrappage is an important step towards reducing carbon footprint and old, polluting vehicles from Indian roads, which is the need of the hour. 1Mahindra MSTC Recycling Private Limited (MMRPL), is a joint venture between Mahindra Intertrade Ltd. and (Metal Scrap Trade Corporation) MSTC Ltd., a Govt of India Enterprise, and has set up India’s First Automotive & Steel Recycling facility under the brand name CERO. It is India’s first organized, fully compliant, pollution free recycling facility. End of life vehicles are collected, depolluted and dismantled at the state-of-the-art facilities at Greater Noida, Chennai, Pune and Indore. These facilities embrace a Zero pollution objective and the automated plant have the capacity to recycle old Trucks, Buses, Cars and Two/Three Wheelers and Consumer durables. The recovered raw materials from the vehicles will be supplied to companies that can make use of them, provided they meet the stringent quality and sustainability requirements. Automotive steel is one of the best steels available as it can be easily melted and remade thus helping the case of circular economy.
