Bocholt, Germany- Duvenbeck Logistics Holding GmbH & Co. KG., an international logistics provider has signed a major framework agreement with MAN Truck & Bus for the delivery of up to 1,000 MAN TGX tractor units by the end of 2027. The first batch of vehicles will be deployed at Duvenbeck’s logistics hubs across Europe starting Q3 2025.

These trucks will be equipped with MAN’s latest PowerLion drivetrain, featuring the newly developed D30 engine—a 13-litre inline six-cylinder developed within the TRATON Group. With an industry-leading thermal efficiency of over 50%, the new engine, paired with the MAN TipMatic 14 transmission and enhanced aerodynamics, delivers 5% better fuel efficiency and CO₂ reduction compared to the previous D26 engine generation. Power output options range from 380 to 560 hp, covering a broad spectrum of transport needs.

Duvenbeck has also been accelerating its electric vehicle adoption. Since early 2025, the company has been operating 15 fully electric MAN eTGX trucks, with another 15 electric ultra-tractor units—suitable for interior heights of up to three metres—set to join the fleet by September. These deliveries are part of a 2023 Letter of Intent for up to 120 MAN electric trucks.

This initiative aligns with Duvenbeck’s long-standing ‘Green Logistics’ strategy, which focuses on reducing emissions and improving energy efficiency. The company continues to invest in alternative drive systems, intelligent routing, load optimization, and innovative transport technologies to minimize its environmental footprint.

With this new agreement, Duvenbeck reaffirms its commitment to sustainable logistics and operational excellence across Europe, leveraging MAN’s latest advancements in low-emission, high-efficiency transport solutions.

Mr. Friedrich Baumann, Executive Board Member for Sales & Customer Solutions at MAN Truck & Bus SE, said, “With the framework agreement for up to 1,000 MAN trucks with the new D30 Powerlion drivetrain, Duvenbeck is demonstrating its vision. The highly efficient and low-emission combustion engine will remain a central pillar of logistics in the coming years. With our new PowerLion drivetrain, we are offering our customers future-proof technology on the road to increasingly low-emission trucks. In addition, electric vehicles will gradually become more attractive in more and more areas of transport. Here too, Duvenbeck is acting as a pioneer in the transformation to zero emissions with our MAN eTGX. We are proud to be working closely with Duvenbeck as a forward-looking partner.”

Mr. Hakan Bicil, CEO of the Duvenbeck Group, said, “Sustainability is one of the cornerstones of our corporate strategy at Duvenbeck. I am therefore delighted that this topic is receiving significant support within the company – led by our strategic purchasing department, headed by Bernd Reining, who is working with MAN to develop innovative solutions.”

Mr. Bernd Reining, Senior Vice President Fleet Management & Strategic Purchasing, said, “Long-term, reliable partnerships are essential for the transformation of logistics towards sustainable and efficient transport solutions. In MAN, we have a strong partner at our side who supports us in the development and implementation of transformation solutions in our supply chain.”
