Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited’s Agri Machinery Business reported strong tractor sales growth in May 2026, selling 12,310 tractors compared to 10,354 units in May 2025. This marks an 18.9% year-on-year increase.

Domestic sales remained the key growth driver. The company sold 11,887 tractors in India during May 2026, up 22.5% from 9,703 units sold in the same month last year. Growth was supported by strong wholesale and retail demand, positive farmer sentiment, adequate reservoir levels and stable rural consumption.

Exports declined during the month. Escorts Kubota shipped 423 tractors in May 2026, compared to 651 units in May 2025, reflecting a 35.0% drop due to weak overseas demand.

For the April–May period of FY27, Escorts Kubota sold 23,167 tractors, compared to 19,083 units during the same period of FY26. This represents a 21.4% increase, mainly supported by domestic market growth.

The company continued its positive momentum ahead of the Kharif season, backed by favorable agricultural conditions and rural demand. However, rising input costs, especially fertilizers, softening prices of some cash crops, geopolitical uncertainties and possible El Niño-related rainfall risks remain key factors to watch.
