Pune- Affordable Robotic and Automation Limited (ARAPL)., a robotics company, announced that its subsidiary ARAPL RaaS (Humro) has secured the first order for its newly developed Atlas AC2000 autonomous forklift—a mobile truck loading and unloading robot. The order, placed by a major US-based logistics company, marks Humro’s entry into a new product category and a significant step in ARAPL’s global expansion.
The breakthrough order follows three months of successful prototype trials at the client’s facilities. It includes two robots valued at ₹3.6 crore, leased over three years. With the client operating 15 warehouses across the US, each capable of deploying 15–16 robots, the agreement creates strong potential for large-scale expansion in the next two years.
Mr. Milind Padole, Founder & Managing Director, ARAPL, said, “We are thrilled to see our ‘Make in India’ mobile robots validated by an established logistics player in the highly competitive US market. This order, after stringent approvals and rigorous testing, is a gateway to global opportunities in a sector long dominated by US and Chinese players.”
The Atlas AC2000 is equipped with LiDAR-based navigation, real-time obstacle detection, and advanced precision control algorithms, enabling fully autonomous truck loading and unloading. Designed for safe, 24/7 operations, it integrates seamlessly with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms, boosting productivity while lowering operating costs.
Humro, ARAPL’s dedicated AMR (autonomous mobile robot) division, leverages proprietary i-ware controllers, AI, navigation, and swarm robotics to deliver scalable automation for warehouses, factories, and logistics hubs. To accelerate growth, ARAPL has committed a USD 8–10 million investment in Humro, including USD 3 million in personal funding from Padole, supported by preferential allotments and debt financing.
“Since its inception in 2021, Humro has consistently hit its milestones with a strong product portfolio and customer validation,” added Padole. “We are now well-positioned to scale customer acquisition globally.”
In line with its international strategy, Humro recently announced a 10% price adjustment effective December 2025 to reflect new US tariffs. Despite this, the company expects its robots to remain 15–20% more cost-effective than competitors.
The order comes amid surging demand for warehouse and logistics automation in the US, where autonomous mobile robots are rapidly transforming efficiency and safety standards.
