Hyundai Motor Group partners with Google Maps Platform to enhance navigation and accelerate software-defined vehicle development, starting with Kia in North America.

Seoul, South Korea- Hyundai Motor Group., is expanding its partnership with Google to enhance navigation and infotainment in Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles. Using Google Maps Platform's Places API (Application Programming Interface), drivers will gain access to detailed information on 250 million places, including business hours, ratings, and reviews. Kia vehicles in North America will roll out these features first, with global expansion to follow.

Hyundai Motor Group has adopted Google's Android Automotive OS to enhance its software ecosystem and lead in software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology. The Group will continue collaborating with Google to innovate future mobility and AI-driven driving experiences.
