      Munich, Germany –Infineon Technologies AG and Swoboda collaborate to develop high-performance current sensor modules for automotive use, merging Infineon's leading sensor ICs with Swoboda's proficiency in module development. This partnership targets the expanding market for hybrid and electric vehicles, delivering advanced sensing solutions. These joint efforts accelerate the rollout of high-performance current measurement solutions, particularly benefiting applications like traction inverters and battery management systems. This strategic alliance aims to swiftly address the growing demand in automotive electronics with innovative, reliable components.

      The Swoboda CSM510HP2 features a compact, fully encapsulated current sensor module using the Infineon TLE4973 coreless IC, ensuring high precision with less than 2% error. It integrates seamlessly with Infineon’s HybridPACK Drive G2, eliminating the need for separate external sensors and enabling ultra-compact traction inverters for electric vehicles.

      Mr.Klaus Lebherz, Head of Business Development at Swoboda, said, “This new generation of current sensors sets new standards in regards of simplified system integration. Infineon’s latest sensor technology and our injection molding know how turned out to be a perfect match”. 

      Mr. Andrea Monterastelli, Head of Automotive Magnetic Sensors Product Group at Infineon Technologies, said, “The market demands high performance, compact and easy to integrate current sensing solutions. The seamless fit into Infineon`s HybridPack Drive G2 offers the most compact solution for hybrid and electric vehicles, enabled by our best-in-class current sensor ICs and Swoboda's expertise.”

      Infineon and Swoboda are collaborating on new current sensing solutions designed for various power devices. These innovations aim to cater to applications such as inverter DC links and high-voltage battery management, among others.
