Turin, Italy- Iveco Bus, a brand of Iveco Group N.V., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, has won Lot 1 of the latest Consip tender to supply natural-gas-powered minibuses. The award covers two sub-lots urban (Class I) and interurban (Class II) for a total of 80 DAILY CNG vehicles: 30 units of Class I and 50 units of Class II. The chosen model is the Daily 70C14 CNG with Indcar bodywork, selected for its strong performance and low environmental impact in line with current sustainability goals.
All 80 minibuses feature an 8-speed automatic gearbox, rear air suspension, and high-capacity methane tanks for extended range, plus a separate driver’s cab to enhance safety and comfort. They comply with the latest safety standards and come equipped with ADAS, fire-suppression, TPMS, route indicators, an onboard AVM system, CCTV cameras, and a passenger counting system.
The urban (Class I) models accommodate 14 seated and 14 standing passengers, with a wheelchair space accessible via a manual ramp; vandal-resistant monocoque seats are fitted throughout. The interurban (Class II) versions provide 22 seated and 5 standing places, plus an area for passengers with reduced mobility, also with a manual ramp; ergonomically designed seats include hand grips and fabric upholstery for comfort. With compact dimensions and a high degree of customization, the Daily CNG minibuses offer versatile solutions for both urban and interurban operations, combining comfort, safety, and operational efficiency.
