Lexington, Kentucky – Link-Belt Cranes., a cranes manufacturer, has expanded its telescopic crawler crane lineup with the launch of the new TCC-1800, a 180-ton crane designed for demanding applications such as data centers, bridge construction and refinery projects.
The new model sits between Link-Belt’s TCC-1400 and TCC-2500, addressing customer demand for a higher-capacity telescopic crawler crane in the company’s portfolio.
The TCC-1800 features a 42.7-foot to 197.3-foot greaseless six-section pin-and-latch boom, along with a 55-foot bi-fold hydraulically offsetable SmartFly attachment system. With up to three 18-foot lattice extensions, the crane can achieve a maximum tip height of 314.3 feet.
Link-Belt says the crane is the first in its telescopic crawler range to use two independent extension cylinders on each side frame, enabling smoother track extension and retraction. This allows multiple track positions and nine 360-degree lifting charts with pick-and-carry capability, improving performance in confined jobsite conditions.
The TCC-1800 is powered by a 310-horsepower Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Final diesel engine. It also features auto-idle to help reduce fuel consumption, while an optional auxiliary power unit can operate key cab systems without running the main engine.
Inside the cab, operators get Link-Belt’s Pulse 2.0 Rated Capacity Limiter with a 10-inch touchscreen display. The system supports ground-pressure alarms, fine metering for precise lifts, onboard diagnostics, Wi-Fi updates and remote troubleshooting.
For transport, the crane ships under 108,000 pounds with boom, main and auxiliary wire ropes, a 120-ton hook block and a 10-foot hydraulic offsetable SmartFly.
Additional features include centralized grease and electrical locations, wireless rigging remote, fall-arrest anchors, swing boundary poles and ergonomic dual-axis controls with free-swing and auto-brake functions.
