Gurugram- Maruti Suzuki India Limited., has introduced its latest SUV, the all-new Victoris. The model will be produced at the company’s state-of-the-art Kharkhoda plant and will be retailed through the Maruti Suzuki Arena network. While it is primarily targeted at the Indian market, the Victoris will also be exported to more than 100 countries and regions.
The Victoris stands out with a futuristic design language and a bold, commanding presence. Its chiselled body form, LED headlights, and LED rear combination lamps emphasize a modern yet robust appearance. The cabin blends contemporary styling with comfort, featuring a detailed instrument panel, 64-color LED ambient lighting, and a refined, spacious layout that enhances the overall driving experience.
Powertrain choices for the Victoris include a 1.5L mild hybrid, a 1.5L strong hybrid, and a 1.5L CNG variant. The hybrid versions are powered by lithium-ion batteries produced by TDS Lithium-Ion Battery Gujarat Private Limited (TDSG), a joint venture between Suzuki, Toshiba Corporation, and Denso Corporation. Notably, the CNG model is Suzuki’s first to adopt an underbody tank layout, which increases luggage capacity without compromising efficiency.
In terms of safety, the Victoris is equipped with advanced features such as collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, an all-around monitor camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system. For added comfort and convenience, it offers a hands-free power tailgate, power-adjustable seats, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The driving experience is further elevated by an Infinity premium sound system with eight speakers and Dolby Atmos 5.1 channel surround sound.
With SUVs now accounting for nearly 60 percent of passenger car sales in India (Suzuki research, FY2024), the launch of the Victoris strengthens Maruti Suzuki’s position in the country’s fastest-growing segment. Combining multiple powertrain options, a bold design, and advanced safety and comfort technologies, the Victoris is well positioned to meet the evolving expectations of Indian customers while also appealing to international markets.
The Victoris measures 4,360 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height. It is offered in three configurations a 1.5L mild hybrid with 5MT or 6AT transmission, a 1.5L strong hybrid with CVT, and a 1.5L CNG variant with 5MT.
