      Kawasaki, Japan – Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation., an automotive manufacture. Mr. Karl Deppen, President and CEO, announce the delivery of 60 medium-duty trucks to Sudan and 78 light-duty Canters to the Maldives.

      60 units of medium-duty FUSO Fighter Trucks were delivered to Sudan through Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) program to improve waste management in urban areas. This initiative, part of the "Clean Cities Platform for Africa," aims to achieve waste-related Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The project, proposed by JICA, will be implemented through an agreement between Japan and Sudan. MFTBC sells trucks and buses in Sudan through its local distributor DAL MOTOR, which also provided end-user training.

      78 Units of light-duty FUSO Canter trucks were provided to the Maldives through Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) program to address waste management challenges in the Small Island Developing State (SIDS). This initiative aims to reduce pollution and improve public health by assisting the Maldives in establishing proper waste management systems. The trucks were distributed by MFTBC's local distributor, United Motors Lanka PLC, which also conducted end-user training.

      138 units from two ODA programs were procured through MFTBC's partner, FutureBud International, a Tokyo-based trading company. Vehicle chassis were assembled at MFTBC's Kawasaki factory, with cargo bodies mounted by Kyokuto Kaihatsu Kogyo LTD, including features like tailgate lifts and garbage collectors.
