Mullen Automotive has appointed Mr. John Taylor as President of its Commercial EV Division. With over 35 years of experience, including roles at GM and Tesla, Taylor will now oversee all commercial vehicle operations.

Brea, United States- Mullen Automotive Inc., an electric vehicle manufacturer, has appointed Mr. John Taylor as President of its Commercial EV Division while he retains his role as Senior VP of Manufacturing. Since joining Mullen in 2021, Taylor has been key in launching the Mullen ONE Class 1 EV cargo van and Mullen THREE Class 3 low cab forward EVs. In his new position, Taylor will manage all aspects of Mullen’s commercial vehicle operations, including engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Mr. John Taylor, president of Mullen Commercial, said, “I'm extremely excited to move into this role. We have the opportunity to transform the commercial EV space and create a blueprint for others to follow.

His proven expertise will be instrumental in driving growth, expanding our market share and achieving our commercial EV business goals.”

Taylor brings over 35 years of experience, including overseeing several plant start-ups and 12 vehicle launches globally. He began his career at General Motors after graduating from the Philpot School of Automotive Design in 1987, where he managed 11 major vehicle launches. In 2010, Taylor joined Tesla as one of the first 50 employees, leading the advanced manufacturing engineering group and playing a key role in opening Tesla’s Fremont facility and launching the Model S.
