Bourne, Lincolnshire – OPICO Ltd., an agricultural machinery distributor, will host the first working demonstration of the HE-VA G-Drill at ScotGrass, giving visitors the chance to see the new drill operating in real field conditions.
The HE-VA G-Drill, first introduced at LAMMA 2026, has been developed as a simple and cost-effective solution for establishing grass, grain and cover crops. Built using proven components, the machine is designed to deliver consistent seed placement, low surface disturbance and effective seedbed consolidation.
The drill features two rows of 400mm vector scalloped discs set at a 4-degree angle. Each disc works with a replaceable coulter boot to create a narrow seed slot, helping reduce soil disturbance and wear. The 3m model is available with either 32 openers for 9.4cm row spacing, suitable for grass seed, or 24 coulters for 12.5cm spacing for grass or grain establishment.
A rubber-damped torsion-arm system helps the drill follow ground contours accurately while allowing the discs to move away from stones and other obstacles. This supports precise depth control and creates a clean, tilth-rich seed slot.
The G-Drill is fitted with a 450/500mm Star Ring roller for consolidation and seed-to-soil contact, with a 600mm flat roller also available as an option.
For seed metering and distribution, the drill can now be specified with a 1000L Stocks Ag Turbo Jet Hopper, alongside the existing 400L option. It also features Stocks’ i-CON controller for automatic forward speed-related rate control, with ISObus control available as an option.
