Mumbai- Land Rover Range Rover, owned by Tata Motors, has expanded its luxury SUV lineup in India with the launch of the new Velar Autobiography variant. Positioned above the existing Dynamic SE trim, the Autobiography offers enhanced styling, comfort, and technology features, and is available with both petrol and diesel engine options.
Buyers can choose between a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (P250) generating 250 hp and 365 Nm of torque, or a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid diesel engine (D200) producing 204 hp and 430 Nm of torque. Both engines come mated to an automatic transmission, tuned for smooth performance on Indian roads.
The Autobiography retains the Velar’s sleek design language, featuring a floating roof, flush door handles, Pixel LED headlights with DRLs, and a black contrast roof. Exclusive touches include Burnished Copper accents, 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels, and a sliding panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the cabin gets a premium upgrade with Full Extended Windsor leather upholstery, Suedecloth headliner, and Shadow Grey Ash veneers. The front seats offer 20-way adjustment and massage function, while rear seats come with power-recline. Additional luxury features include four-zone climate control, configurable ambient lighting, and a Meridian 3D Surround Sound System.
On the tech front, the Autobiography variant is equipped with advanced features like Terrain Response 2, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics, Wade Sensing, and a 3D Surround Camera. Cabin Air Purification Plus and multiple driver assistance systems ensure a safe and comfortable ride.
