Boulogne-Billancourt, France - Renault Group, an automotive manufacturer has introduced new EV technology for the Megane E-Tech Electric, making the model more efficient, practical and aligned with the next phase of electric mobility.

The key update is the new 67 kWh LFP battery, which replaces the previous NMC battery technology. This change supports better cost efficiency, improved battery durability and reduced dependence on nickel and cobalt. With this upgrade, the Megane E-Tech Electric now delivers more than 500 km of driving range, making it more suitable for both city use and long-distance journeys.

Charging performance has also improved. The vehicle can charge from 15% to 80% in just 24 minutes, saving around 25% charging time compared with the earlier version. Renault has also added bidirectional charging, which allows the vehicle to support more flexible energy use in the future.

The updated Megane E-Tech Electric also receives a more modern design, including a redesigned front end, a stronger lighting signature and a more dynamic stance. Inside, Google built-in services, intelligent route planning and the my Renault app improve the overall connected driving experience.

Renault has simplified the product offering with one powertrain, one battery option and two trim levels. This makes the model easier for customers to choose while keeping the vehicle well equipped.

Produced in Douai, France, the updated Megane E-Tech Electric strengthens Renault’s E-Tech electric line-up and reflects the company’s focus on affordable, long-range and technology-driven electric vehicles.
