Japan: Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially launched two all-new middleweight motorcycles—the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT—bringing retro styling and modern performance to its 2026 lineup. Revealed as part of Suzuki’s first wave of 2026 models, these machines mark a bold return to the Japanese manufacturer’s heritage design language, while retaining cutting-edge electronics and engineering.
Classic Looks, Modern Core
Both models are powered by Suzuki’s proven 776cc parallel-twin engine, featuring a 270° crankshaft. Delivering approximately 81bhp at 8,500rpm and 57 lb-ft of torque at 6,800rpm, the powerplant is shared with Suzuki’s GSX-8S, GSX-8R, and V-Strom 800 models, promising a balance of versatility and character.
The GSX-8T is a minimalist naked retro roadster inspired by the classic Suzuki T500 “Titan” of the 1960s. It features a round LED headlight, brushed silver radiator shrouds, bar-end mirrors, and a tuck-and-roll seat—all complementing a vintage-style 16.5-litre fuel tank.
In contrast, the GSX-8TT adds a performance-oriented twist with a retro racing look. Equipped with a quarter fairing and a sculpted under-cowl, the 8TT nods to legendary race bikes like the GS1000S of the late 1970s. It also features unique paint schemes, coordinated wheels, and subtle styling enhancements.
Loaded with Tech
Despite their vintage aesthetics, both bikes are packed with modern features. Riders can expect Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S), which includes:
Other notable equipment includes gold (GSX-8T) or black (GSX-8TT) KYB inverted front forks, Nissin radial brakes, a full-color 5-inch TFT display, and a lithium-ion battery with USB-C charging capabilities.
Pricing and Availability
Suzuki has confirmed that both models will begin arriving at dealerships starting August 2025.
Both prices include a standard 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Retro Revival
The GSX-8T and GSX-8TT are Suzuki’s answer to the rising demand for neo-retro motorcycles—offering a stylish yet approachable alternative to pricier rivals from Triumph and Yamaha. With authentic design cues, advanced tech, and competitive pricing, these new models are poised to attract both nostalgic riders and new motorcyclists looking for character without compromise.
