Walldorf, Germany – Deere & Company., an agricultural equipment manufacturer, has updated its 500R self-propelled sprayer range for model year 2027, adding the new 560R with a 6,000-litre tank and introducing upgraded boom technology.

The MY27 500R series now offers boom widths of 30m, 36m and 42m, while maintaining a compact 2.55m transport width. The new modular steel booms are lighter, more compact and designed for faster folding and unfolding.

The sprayers feature BoomTrac Pro 2 automatic boom height control, supported by ultrasonic sensors, along with active yaw and roll control for improved boom stability and application accuracy.

Maximum spraying speed has increased from 25km/h to 30km/h. John Deere’s Individual Nozzle Control Pro and ExactApply systems support consistent droplet quality, turn compensation and multi-rate spraying.

The machines also include the PowrSpray dual-circuit solution system, with filling capacity of up to 1,200 litres per minute, plus automated rinsing functions to reduce downtime between applications.

John Deere says the MY27 updates can deliver a 10% to 15% productivity gain compared with the previous model.

Production is scheduled to begin in late 2026, with first customer deliveries expected from early 2027.
