OLATHE, Kansas - Deere & Company., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced Next-Gen Combine Front-End Equipment to Maximize Harvest Efficiency, Crop Capture, and Productivity.
John Deere new combine headers to help farmers maximize crop capture during harvest. The latest offerings include a three-piece hinge draper reel system and an 18-row corn head with 30" (76.2 cm) spacing. Designed for enhanced productivity, this advanced front-end equipment ensures optimal performance in various crop conditions.
Mr. Bergen Nelson, Go-to-market manager for harvest equipment, said, "Our goal is to ensure John Deere combines are as productive as possible, and that all starts with the header. These headers are built to consistently feed the combine, keeping harvest productive and efficient. We know that how the crop is taken off the field is as important as how the field is left behind and all that starts with the front end."
The new three-piece CAM reel with dense pack fingers, designed for high-performance harvesting, especially in challenging crops like pulses and edibles with shorter stature and lower podding. This innovative reel improves crop recovery, reducing grain loss and boosting productivity. Featuring 32% more tines than previous flip-over reels, the dense pack fingers ensure an efficient material sweep from the knife for maximum grain capture. Maintaining a consistent reel-to-knife relationship, the three-piece reel enhances feeding capacity, ensuring every seed is efficiently collected.
The new CF18 30 is the industry's first 18-row, 30-inch folding corn head, designed to align with 36-row planters for improved efficiency. It eliminates wide/narrow "guess" rows and reduces passes by 11% per quarter section compared to the CF16 30. Compatible with StalkMaster, the CF18 30 is built for the John Deere X9 combine series.
