Uttar Pradesh- India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has officially launched the 2025 MT-15 V2. The refreshed streetfighter adds sharper styling and upgraded tech while retaining the proven 155cc engine, with a claimed top speed of 130 km/h and mileage of 60 km/l. Aimed squarely at young riders, the MT-15 V2 blends speed, efficiency, and affordability in the hotly contested 150cc segment.

The MT-15 V2 features a 155cc liquid-cooled, four-valve engine with VVA, paired with an Assist & Slipper Clutch and a Traction Control System. It adds dual-channel ABS and hardware tuned for optimal grip and stability, wrapped in a hyper-naked design that carries the distinctive MT identity. A color TFT meter integrates turn-by-turn navigation and Yamaha’s Y-Connect app for smart connectivity.

Performance: Power comes from a lively 155cc LC 4V FI single that delivers 13.5 kW (18.4 PS) at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It runs an 11.6:1 compression ratio and a 6-speed gearbox with an Assist & Slipper clutch. The fuel-injected motor is E20 compatible and uses an electric starter for quick, reliable ignition.

Chassis, brakes & tyres: Built around a rigid Deltabox frame, the bike uses a 37 mm USD telescopic fork up front and a linked-type Monocross at the rear. Braking is handled by a 282 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. It rides on tubeless 100/80-17 front and radial tubeless 140/70R-17 rear tyres for confident handling and stability.

In terms of dimensions and capacity, the MT-15 V2 measures 2,015 × 800 × 1,070 mm (L × W × H), rides on a 1,325 mm wheelbase, and offers 170 mm of ground clearance with an 810 mm seat height. It has a kerb weight of 141 kg, a 10 L fuel tank, and a USD front fork with 37.0 mm inner tubes.

The MT-15 V2 packs full-LED lighting (headlight, position, and tail/brake) and a color TFT instrument cluster showing a digital speedometer and tachometer, fuel gauge, gear position, shift light, VVA indicator, fuel-consumption readout, and clock. Safety and utility tech include Traction Control, dual-channel ABS, a hazard function, and a side-stand engine cut-off. Smart features are handled by Y-Connect (Bluetooth), enabling turn-by-turn navigation* and other connected-ride functions.
