Haryana- BMW Motorrad India, a two wheeler manufacture company has introduced the CE 04 electric scooter in India, priced at ₹14.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the CE 04 the most premium electric scooter currently available in the Indian market.

Earlier this year, BMW would launch the CE 02 electric two-wheeler, marking its first EV developed through the collaboration with TVS. Manufactured locally in India by TVS Motor at its Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu, this innovative model was co-developed with BMW Motorrad on a joint platform. In addition to its domestic success, TVS has also begun exporting the CE 02, with 2,652 units shipped to international markets between April and June 2024.

Similar to CE 04, the CE 02 stands out with its unique and striking design. The BMW CE 02 electric bike features a 2 kWh battery pack, generating a peak power of 11 kW and 54.9 Nm of torque. It achieves a top speed of 95 km/h and provides a range of up to 90 km per charge.

The BMW CE 02 is expected to be launched in India towards the end of the year. It will be interesting to see BMW's pricing strategy for this model, but it is likely to be positioned significantly higher than the TVS X electric scooter, which is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
