Pinyin, China- BYD Company Limited., has secured an order from Frontier Transport Holdings Limited (Golden Arrow), a South African bus operator, to supply 120 electric buses. This agreement marks the beginning of South Africa's first electric bus fleet, underscoring a commitment to sustainable transportation and carbon emission reduction.
The new fleet of 12.5-meter electric buses features lithium iron phosphate batteries and BYD’s innovative six-in-one controller, integrating six key components into a single compact module for improved efficiency and reliability. These buses will enhance environmental sustainability while offering passengers a quieter and more comfortable travel experience.
